1. You search for your site
Type the domain in the search box, for example yoursite.com. If you leave out the protocol, we use https://.
Before auditing, we follow redirects until we reach the site's final address. That way yoursite.com and www.yoursite.com count as the same site and don't show up twice in the ranking.
2. It joins the queue
Audits are processed one at a time, in order of arrival. While you wait you can see your place in the queue and ask us to notify you when it's ready.
If the site was already audited in the last 24 hours, we reuse that result instead of queuing it again.
3. We audit it
We crawl the site's pages with Unlighthouse, which runs Lighthouse on every route simulating a mobile device. For each route we store:
- The scores of the four categories, from 0 to 100.
- The loading metrics: LCP, FCP, CLS, TBT and TTI.
We also detect the site's technologies (frameworks, CMS, analytics) and its metadata, such as the title and favicon.
4. We calculate your score
The final score is a weighted average of the four categories. Performance weighs twice as much as the rest:
- 0Performance
- 0Accessibility
- 0Best practices
- 0SEO
The result is rounded down, so a 100 is only possible with every category at 100.
5. You show up in the ranking
Each site competes with its most recent completed audit. The ranking can be viewed in four periods:
- Global: every site ever audited.
- Daily: sites audited today.
- Weekly: sites audited in the last 7 days.
- Monthly: sites audited in the last 30 days.
Days are counted in Nicaragua time. Next to each site we show how many places it went up or down compared to the previous period.
